Cant make up my mind...opinions? *UPDATE* POST WITH PIC

Im making a prom shawl and i cant make up my mind on which border.

DISCLAIMER: These are real fast swatches knitted, washed, and blocked for comparison…The final product will be much better workmanship…i promise! Ive made more swatches but ive narrowed it down to these. oh and im sorry for the horrible lighting in these pics.

Option A: this border will “frame” the body with a solid wavy type of stockinette pattern. there is so much “action” in the body pattern, I thought it would be a good one to calm things down a bit and let the eye rest. And i thought it was pretty.

Option B: This is a pointed border…This one continues the “action” out into the border but it does match the body in many aspects.

I really like A :o)

Even for fast swatches they look nice!

I’m going with b cuz it looks to be a better fit with your pattern:p

I like A, because to me it looks more bordery. Is that even a word?

I had to go with B as the flow of the knitting seemed to be more of a fit and more symmetrical. I really need to stop reading math and physics books for fun.

I prefer A. It is more unique and I feel it enhances the main body, not detract from it.

ok ive begun the winning border and frankly…its not blowin my skirt up…

should i rip and try something else? or keep it.

Hmmm… personally I don’t like how the diagonals are opposing each other and in different sizes… I would probably rip and start something else, but that’s just my super annoying symmetry OCD ;o)

Thats how i was feeling…you put it into words for me…ty:)

I’m new so take it or leave it, but I agree to rip it. It is such a beautiful piece of art but the border to my eye is not right.

Definitely “A”.

I think Border “A” is very elegant, not too lacy, not clunky. I love it’s ‘lilting’ shape.

It’s perfect. I think you’ll love it when you get more done on it.

Really, I love it!

Great job, BTW! You’re a very talented knitter!
