I’m looking to start this pattern from Pickles and it calls for a 2 1/2 needle. See below::
Pattern:
Cast on 88 stitches on US 2½ circular needles. Knit garter stitch for 1 inch. Switch to US 4 needles and start knitting in the round.
well, I don’t have this in my stash and as it is Sunday, only Michaels was open and of course, they don’t carry anything smaller than a 6.
I looked on line when I got home and can’t find anything either!
What do I do??
:??
Thanks!

You could do the pattern on a 6 and 7 with heavier yarn, but you’d have to make a much much smaller size. You might be able to find the small sizes at your local yarn store, Joann’s (and their website) or through ebay or ravelry.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 2.5 US needle. :??

I think some brands do use that, it would probably be a 3mm as a 2 is usually 2.75 and a 3 is 3.25. But it could be a 2.5mm which would be a US 2½…
Hi!
If you’re having difficulty with this, try checking with the source of the pattern you’re using to find out if there’s an error in it.
All too often these days that’s the basis for pattern problems.
Good luck!

Knitpicks has it. I own a few of them.
