I started knitting a poncho.
I’m knitting on circular needles, so it’s sort of bunched up around them.
If I don’t like the way it looks now, is that a good indication of continuing to not like it? Or do things sometimes look bad at first but really knit up nicely in the end?
It is VERY hard to tell at the beginning, especially when you have all the stitches squished together around a circular needle. I would say that if you liked the pattern enough to start it in the first place, that you should stick with it a while longer. Once you have a good bit done you can put all of the stitches onto a long piece of scrap yarn so that you can lay it out to its intended size and see then if you like it any better.
