P2, [KB1] 3 times, *p3, KB1, p3 [KB1] 3 times; rep from * to last 2 sts, p2.
I get the p2 part, I’m confused about the 3 times part. If you could explain this line to me I would be everlastingly grateful. Thanks so much!

When it says x number of times you do what it says in parenthesis. So in this case -
P2, [KB1] 3 times,=
P2, KB1, KB1, KB1
This next part you repeat everything between the asterisks across to the last two stitches while continuing to to do the KB1 3 times for the second one in the group…
*p3, KB1, p3 [KB1] 3 times; rep from * to last 2 sts, p2.=
p3, KB1, p3, KB1, KB1, KB1, p3, KB1, p3, KB1, KB1, KB1…etc to last two stitches then p2.
What are you making??
A pair of fingerless mitts I found the pattern for. I didn’t realize I was going to get so confused! Thank you so much!!!
Jannette,
I loved your question, and after reading Jan’s reply to you, and saw her explanation, I got it. Thanks for asking your question. Every bit helps me.
