Ok, this might seem like a silly question, but I’m wondering, can I make something that is meant to be worked flat to be worked in the round instead? It’s a pattern for fingerless gloves, and I really just hate seaming things. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
Sure you could, you may want to use 2 sts less that would be used in the seam. The sts on the even numbered rows would be worked opposite and backwards to the way they’re written too.
Are you making the fingerless gloves or the wrist warmers? If you’re knitting the warmers how do you plan to allow for the hole for the thumb to go through if you’re knitting in the round? (Instead of seaming).I’m still poking along with my Palindrome scarf, but plan to do the warmers next…then the hat. I’ve been keep an eye out for your posts to see how the set is coming along for you.:knitting: Keep us updated! Jeanie
You would work back and forth for a few rows at the point you’re supposed to have the slit for the thumb, then go back to working in the round again.
Oh, of course that makes perfect sense. Dah. I guess that never occurred to me because I’ve never knit in the round. (It’s one of my New Year’s resolutions. That and DPN’s.)
Ok, thanks so much! It sounds easy enough to do. I didn’t realize when I was looking at this that it was wristwarmers and not fingerless gloves. Maybe I should go search on ravelry for a more specific pattern…

The set’s coming along great. Well I’m on the scarf right now still lol. But I’m almost done with it! I’m going to try my very best to get that finished today. It’s getting freakin huge! I will post pics as soon as I get it done, which should be today or tomorrow. ![]()
Is this more of what you’re looking for? Maybe you’ve already found this pattern on Ravelry. Can’t wait for you to post some pictures!!
I think so…but then I like the look of the other one too!! Who knows what I’ll end up doing lol.
