Can I knit a wedding gift?

I’d like to knit something for my friend who got married recently…but I don’t know what.

KPC ony had a few afghans to choose from and they didn’t really spark my fires. Also…I’m a bit burnt on afghans at the moment. My mom’s Aran afghan is taking FOREVERRRR…

What else is there that’s appropriate as a wedding gift? Is there anything else? Anybody got any suggestions or links to other pattern directories aside from knittingpatterncentral?

Maybe make a bath and body basket? Knit up a few washcloths, and then get some soaps and assorted things. Maybe even knit up a few dishcloths?
