Can anyone read this and explain where to increase?

Can anyone read this and explain where I am soposed to put the increase. It is making no since to me and I hav redone it 3 times now.

This time I knitted in a life line so that i wouldnt have to reknit so much
any help would be appreciated

Work 2nd row of Moss Stitch for 16 stitches and place marker
Work 2nd row of zig zag pattern for 15 stitches and place marker
Work 2nd row of Moss Stitch until the end of the row

Contunie in Pattern as set

Increase one stitch at each end of row and every following row and every alt row until there is 111 stitches and at the same time work all
extra stitches outside the first and last stitch markers in the moss pattern .

This is so confusing to me…do I put the extra stitches on the ends of each row or in the center outside of the stitch markers…

:shock: omg…that is too much for me to figure out at this time of night. i got lost in “increase every row and every alt row…” huuuuuuuuh?

These are confusing directions. You’d think they’d be more specific.

The easy part is where you put the increases. They go on the moss stitch side of the markers. You’ll work them in whatever stitch would be next in the moss st pattern.

What I get from the ‘when’ to do the increases, and this is just what I would do–I’m not positive it’s right is to increase in two rows, then skip one, increase in one, skip one, increase in the next two, etc. Maybe it’s easier this way:

Row
3 - inc
4 - inc
5 - even
6 - inc
7 - even
8 - inc
9 - inc
10- even
11- inc
12 - even
13-inc
14-inc
15 even
16 inc
17 even
18-inc ------ Keep doing this until you have 111 stitches.

Etc. Make sense?

Thank you so much Ingrid for your input on this project.

I am using your advise and placing the increases on the second stitch from both ends in this project in the moss stitch and it does look better working them into every other row . I really appreciate the help…I thought it may have just been me not reading the pattern clearly… but it was truly a confussing, jumbled mess. There had to a better way to get their point across…
