How do you do a cable or cabled cast on?

There’s a vid for cable cast-on in the Video tab at the top of this board. Click on ‘Cast-On.’

And it’s called that because it looks like a small cable (cord) not because you have to use it to knit cabled things.

Alrighty, now, lemme go look…
Umm hmm, yeah, uh…WHAT TH’?

Knit into slip knot,
leaving the stitch on the left needle.
Place the new stitch onto left needle,
by slipping it knit-wise. *Knit into gap between last two stitches on left needle. Place knitted stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from *. Note: you can also place the stitch on the needle purl-wise. The results are virtually identical.

I’m going to have to watch that video again, n agin!

I had to watch it about 5 times, but once I got the hang of it, it’s actually really easy. Hang in there!

I will hang in there, Miss Abbily.
