Cable scarf

I have decided that it is about time I tried cables

And my father was talking about wanting a new scarf, so I figured… PERFECT CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!!

I have a really nice worsted weight yarn I would like to use, now I just need to find the right pattern.

I have been searching RAV but I can’t find the perfect pattern

I want one thats manly, and not TOO wide

any help?

Anything that’s manly colors and not lace is good for men usually. Since you’ve looked on Ravelry I’m not sure what else is out there. I like these.

the Irish Hiking Scarf is a popular one, too.

I have to agree with Jan. The first thing that popped into my head was Silver’s Palindrome Scarf. I knitted this last year and was so pleased with the results. Although I ended up being the one who wears it, I modeled it on my boyfriend and he looked very sharp in it.

My vote is for the Irish Hiking Scarf. Great pattern, more impressive that difficult, and quite “male”.

I’ve made several Palindrome scarves since first signing up here, and they are great. Friends and family love them. Haven’t made the Irish Hiking Scarf yet, but will soon.
