Cable scarf

I am looking for some help on this pattern…
I understand all of it tell I get to this part of the pattern

it says:
Row 8(rs) k4,p2,c6f,p2,k2,p2,c6f,p2,k2p2,c6f,p2,k4

this is where I am lost…

the c6f I hold on the needle then I do the p2,k2,p2, the I take the st. off the cn the I work those HOW ???

I think that is where I am lost can anyone help me ???

Usually when they say cable 6 front, it means to put three stitches on your cable needle, hold in front of the work, knit the three stitches from your regular needle, then knit the three from the cable needle. The p2, k2, p2 are stitches between the cables.

this is my pattern www.helloyarn.com/irishhikingscarf.htm
I hope you all can see it.

so I p2 sl 2on cn then I k2?

is this right??

The only thing you do on the cable needle is the 6 stitches that are in the cable. Slip three on the cable needle and bring it to the front of the work, knit the 3 that are on the regular needle, then knit the three from the cable needle.

So you’ll k2, p2, work the cable on the next 6 st as above, p2, k2, p2, work another cable as above, p2, k2, p2, another cable on the 6 st, p2, k4

Thank you soo much for all the help
