Cable Question

I’m working on some cable swatches in preparation for a class at my LYS on the Great American Aran Afghan, and the chart for one of the swatches has me stumped.

The cable in question is worked over 4 stitches, and the instructions say 1/3 Seed LC and 1/3 Seed RC. I know LC and RC are left cable and right cable, but I’m not sure what to do with the rest.

Can anybody help? I’ve tried Google, YouTube, etc., with no luck and I thought surely somebody here might know.

Thanks in advance.

1/3 Seed LC and 1/3 Seed RC should be defined in the pattern for this square or somewhere at the beginning of the pattern. You’re probably using seed st and an unequal 1 cross over 3 cable but the details should be in the pattern.

The swatch pattern is just a simple one that the class teacher made up. I guess I could check in the pattern book, though, and see if there’s any guidance there.
