I am currently at the 365 stitch place on my Butterfly Papillon Shawl. I am using Chiagoo interchangeable needles and have connected two cables together to accomodate the many stitches. However, I am finding that the cable is torqueing at certain points and I’m wondering what others have done to mitigate this phenomena. I can take the additional cable off and have all my stitches scrunched up, or I can order a 93cm (37") cable and move everything over - thoughts or suggestions very welcome!
cable length for shawl
Maybe this one? Very pretty.
It might be best to work with the 37" cable rather than fight with the cable or have the sts pushed together. It’s also possible to work with 2 circulars if you have them although you then have to keep switching needles midway through the row.

salmonmac,
I just ordered a 60" fixed needle from Chiagoo and will transfer stitches over to that. I realized that the joint where the extension I added is where the stitches “catch”, so I’m pretty confident that this should fix the problem. Thank you, once again, for your wise words and prompt response!
I use a 120cm for top down shawls.
