Cable knitting

Hi again

I was wondering if anyone could help me understand this pattern. I have never done cable knit before and I don’t want to attempt it without being clear as I dont want to have to pull all the knitting off the needle and start again…

Would I be right in thinking I do the following,
P2
Take 1 stitch over 2 stitches
K1
YO
K1
And continue in that order to the end of the row?

I think I’m getting confused because there are 3 stitches in pic 1 on the right needle.

I can’t see picture 1 in the photo you posted. Can you post another photo which shows the right side of the figures? Can you tell us the name of the pattern or the source of the photo?

Hello!!!

This isn’t really a cable knit where u would change the order of sts. This is passing a st over the other ones.

But you’ve got the general idea of what they want u to do here. Just follow the pictures for each of the K3 sts and just purl the ones in between.
