Cabeling without cable needles

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this. I was so excited to find this.

I think Amy could do a great video for this. :eyebrow:

I’ve seen this too. My DIL does cables that way because my DGS just loves to pull dpns out of the stitches. I’ve never done it.

I don’t use an extra needle unless it’s a 3 x 3 crossover.

I think I’m going to try this. I had read about it, but hadn’t seen pics of the cabling in process. Thanks for the link. It’s not nearly as scary as I originally thought. I’m always losing my cable needle. This will be great :cheering:

Yep I too am working on the no cable needle cables(mini cables) I couldn’t get the stitch at first, :wall: :wall: but after a question to the HOW TO forum here,I rec’d an answer to check out Knitty…The article is great…and got me thru the stitch with no problem :cheering:

I’m working on an Irish Hiking Scarf (my third!) and I’m cableing this one without a needle. I like it. It seems to make the cables look a little nicer. That last stitch doesn’t stretch as much this way.
