C2F? Help Please!

The instructions it gives for C2F are C2F=Skip first stitch. KB1, then K1 (skipped stitch). Then slip both stitches from the needle together.

I am so confused watched a bunch of videos and none show me what this means exactly, does the 2 go on the cable then I skip one, honestly soooo lost and really want to make this sweater someone help me!!!

Don’t over think it. The first two stitches on your left needle are the ones you’ll be working. Reach behind the first one and knit into the back of the second stitch. Now bring the needle around to the front of the stitches and knit the first one normally. Now you have two worked stitches.

After a few rows you’ll see the little cable twisting.

You knit the sts out of order - do the 2nd one first, then the first one. It’s awkward at first, then gets easier with practice.

So I knit the back loop one over the skipped one onto the cable needle then knit the skipped one onto the cable needle then just slip them both onto the needle with the stitches I have already worked on the right?

You’re knitting the sts out of order so you don’t need the cable needle. This is a way of twisting the sts using just your 2 needles.
Follow the advice above and it will go easily after the first few times. Forget the cable needle for this twist.

You can use a cable needle, but you’d put the first st on it, hold to the front, then knit the next st, then the stitch off the cable needle. After you do this a couple times though, you should be able to see how the sts twist and don’t need to use the cable needle, just knitting the 2nd stitch first.

I was obviously over complicating this than you so much for simplifying, I have been learning to knit through the internet and this is the first sweater pattern I am trying to follow, not as easy as the blanket I made lol. Thanks again.
