I have a pattern with a gauge of 2 3/4 stitches per inch. Can I use a lighter yarn, doubled if I can get the same gauge?
Yes. Worsted doubled may be too stiff knit at that gauge so you might want to use a sport or dk.
You may have to try a couple different weights. Definitely do a swatch to check your gauge.
