I am making this little sweater in the newborn size http://www.knittingpureandsimple.com/babycardi.html
I want to put buttons on in place of the tires - about how far down ( from where the hood ends ) should I put the first button hole?

I added button loops and buttons after I had completed the knitting. Found the idea on Ravelry

I’d put the top button a couple of rows down from where the hood ends, and perhaps have 3 buttons.
