Bulky to worsted substitution?

I’d love to do this with Debbie Bliss Soho, but Yarndex lists it as worsted weight. Can this still be done? What changes would have to be made, how would my yardage requiremens be affected?

Since it doesn’t have to “fit” you could probablly use the DB, as long as you got the same yardage; just understand that the demensions of the FO will be smaller.

You really could do this with any yarn; basically you knit a base, pick up stitches, knit in the round, make handles and BO. The “rick rack” part of this purse just comes in the ribbon that is weaved through the sides… you can improvise that either by looking at the pattern and guestimating, or just winging it–as long as the holes are spaced evenly apart, it won’t matter.
