Bubble Cardigan. in Peter Pan Merino Baby DK

Hi,

I am working on a Bubble Cardigan and I need help for the following:

Continue to dec at armhole edge as before on the next and every following alt row at the same time dec 1 st at neck edge on every row until 6 (5, 6, 5, 6) sts remain.

The part for “at the same time dec 1 st at neck edge on every row” do this on knitting wise (right side) or on purling wise (wrong side while start working the purl row)?

Thanks and regards,
Roman

Technically, start the decreases at the neck on the “next row”, that is, the first row where you work the alternate decreases at the armhole edge. Presumably you’ve been working decreases for the armhole but are now going to be working them every other row.

Continue to dec at armhole edge as before on the next and every following alt row at the same time dec 1 st at neck edge on every row until 6 (5, 6, 5, 6) sts remain.

Practically, you can start with either the next RS or WS row.

Sleeves (both alike)
Using 3¼mm needles, cast on 31 (33, 35, 37, 39) sts.
Work in rib as given for Back for 2.5 (4, 4, 5, 5)cm, 1 (1½, 1½, 2, 2)ins finishing on a 2nd row.
Change to 4mm needles.
Continue in st st, inc 1 st at each end of the needle on the 5th and every following 6 (6, 6, 8, 8)th row
until 39 (41, 45, 49, 55) sts are on the needle.
Continue without further inc until Sleeve measures 12.5 (15, 16.5,21.5, 26.5)cm, 5 (6, 6½, 8½,
10½)ins from commencement finishing on a P row.

“from commencement” means including the 5 cm within the 26.5 cm??

Rainbow

Yes, measure from the cast on. 26.5cm seems long enough for a baby cardigan sleeve.
Cute pattern.

Hi again. Long time
My question is work the neck band after or before assembling the cardigan?

Thanks

You could do either. My tendency is to assemble the cardigan first making sure that the sts on hold are available to pick up for the neckband (and not lost into a seam). It just seems easier that way rather than having all the pieces loose and flopping around while I’m trying to knit the neckband.
