Brooke's Column of Leaves scarf... does it roll?

Hi All… Happy New Year!

I spent some time over this long holiday weekend frogging a scarf, I loved it but it rolled more than I could tolerate. Even though the pattern, (falling water lace) had a 3-stitch garter stich border and I blocked it.
Anyway, I’m looking for a new pattern to knit the yarn up in and one I’ve had my eye on is Brooke’s Column of Leaves scarf.

Has anyone knit it and had trouble with it rolling?

Thanks!

I wouldn’t think the edges would curl. You could try it out and see what happens. It looks like the edges are garter but the dec/yo next to it makes it look like ribbing and between the two that would help.

Thanks! I think I will try it and see what I get.

I’m about a foot into it and so far no curling. Go for it!

Thanks!

Hi, I’m the one who wrote the pattern, and it definitely did not curl for me. It lays nicely flat all by itself. You can see photos of different versions of the scarf here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/brookeln/sets/72157603610043156/ and as you can see, none of them roll. Good luck!!

Maybe it has to do with how tightly you’re knitting? I knit a plain stockinette scarf with a garter stitch border, and even though the border was pretty wide, it still curled (even with a ton of steaming). I redid it with a looser gauge and the curling went away.

I am interested in that pattern, may I please be cheeky enough to request a link/copy of it please it sounds gorgeous!
I really like the definition of the pattern (including the hole part), on picture http://www. flickr.com/photos/brookeln/2972712636/in/set-72157603610043156/
(I have put a space in it so it is not a direct link).
