Hey all…Me again 
I was looking into purchasing some Brittany 5" dpns for socks. I was reading some posts on Socknitters.com message boards. Quite a few people said there size 1, 2s had snapped while knitting socks. Someone had said there size 3s seemed fine. So I guess it’s just the size 1, and 2s.

I’ve used them a lot for socks and I’ve only had 2 break. I think it might be related to the particular piece of wood for an individual needle since some of them seem like there is no way they could break.
Anyway, they have a warranty so I sent in the broken one and they sent back a new one. I have about 10 of them now in size 2 so breaking one doesn’t cause a big headache in the middle of a project.

I also read alot of posts at the Knitter’s Review message board. Did a search for Brittany dpns. Anyways…most of what I read were good things. How they love there Brittany’s, etc. Then mentioned them being guaranteed for 5 yrs. Noticed that at the Brittany website as well. So I’m like…UGH…Socknitter’s say they had quite a few size 1, 2 break…then at Knitter’s Review they love’em. :??
So, other than the few breaks you’ve had…do you like them? Are you happy with them? Are they smooth? 
Btw, the Brittany’s you have are they the 5"? How do you like the length?

No complaints…and the 5" are perfect for socks…I’ve never used them for anything else.
