Branching Out

I just completed my first lace piece. A Branching Out scarf out of Alpaca Silk. I started the scarf last spring when I was learning to knit, then took a class on socks and knitted socks the rest of the year. About 2 weeks ago I pulled the scarf back out and I finished it last week.

Wow, how pretty is that?!

It’s beautiful! I haven’t attempted lace yet.

Pretty! I want to try one of these soon.

BEEEEEEEEYOOOOOOOTIFFUL!

Gorgeous!

That is lovely.

Ooooh, pretty…

very pretty!!

Beautiful! All these scarves make me wish I could use them!

It’s gorgeous. I love the sheen. Was it Blue Sky Alpacas alpaca/silk blend you used, or someone else’s? Anyhow, it’s really pretty. I wanna make one and had gotten some Zephyr laceweight a while ago and then came back and looked at the pattern and realized that yarn is too thin. So I just ordered a different type and we’ll see if we can get this knit up soon.

Wow that’s amazing! I’m so impressed that you did that when you were learning to knit! I think it will be years before I attempt something like that… :notworthy:

Oh, I LOVE it! I think I will definitely use a silk thin yarn next time I do this one. Mine is in progress with Patons Divine, a fuzzy mohair yarn but I think it will be nice when finished.

JamoKnit - Your scarf is looking great. I found the blocking really made a difference in the look of mine.

MWEDZI - It is Blue Sky Alpaca.

Thank you everyone for all of the compliments. I can’t wait to start another lace project.
