after a bit of a struggle I have finally finished knitting the main pieces for a baby cardigan - my first real knitting project! I am now at the part where I need to do the border and am really confused about how I start this! The pattern says to knit from the rib - what does this mean? And it says to ‘pick up stitches’ and knit. sorry for asking such basic questions but I don’t really know where to start with this! many thanks!

If you’re adding a front band then it probably means to start at the ribbed edge and continue up the front.
