Border for cardigan

I’ve finished knitting all the parts to my cardigan, I just now need to do a border around the front edge and pockets. As new to knitting I’m struggling to understand the pattern. Id be grateful for any help please. I know how to initially pick up stitches to begin but then can’t figure out pattern.
It says commencing at lower edge of right front, pick up and knit 14 stitches evenly along rib, 100 sts evenly along straight edge, (48sts) evenly along shaped edge, (19sts) from back of neck, (46sts)evenly along shaped edge, 100sts evenly along straight edge and 14sts evenly along rib (343sts).
I’ve tried looking for videos (as visual learner)but all can find is how to pick up stitches :woman_facepalming:
I’d be so grateful for any help please. Tia

What is the name of your pattern and designer?
Rather than giving you the total number of stitches to pick up, the pattern is telling you how to distribute the sts. Start at the right front (that’s right front as you would wear the sweater) and pick up 14sts along the rib at the hem of the front. The pattern then proceeds with the stitch numbers for the straight edge up the front, the shaped edge, back of neck and then down the shaped, straight and hem rib on the left front. A long circular needle works for this.
It helps to place markers at each section and for the 100sts on the straight edge, to divide that edge into fourths so that you can pick up 25sts per section. This will keep you on track to pick up approximately evenly. Depending on your pattern stitch picking up 3sts for every 4 rows in stockinette or 2sts for every 3 rows in garter works well. Usually these ratios are more important than picking up precisely the pattern numbers. Depends on the pattern though and what comes next.
Here’s a nice video for the process. There are sts picked up for a sleeve top althought your pattern doesn’t seem to have any and of course the numbers are different.

Oh, that’s a nice, classic look!

Here’s a quite detailed examination of picking up along all sorts of edges–straight, bound off, curves, etc. Maybe this will help?
