Booga Pattern

Hi all…

I have a question about the booga bag pattern. After you knit the garter stitch piece for the bottom, it says:

Pick up and [color=blue]knit twisted [/color]16 stitches along first edge of rectangle.

Now, I’m having enough trouble picking up the stitches regularly…what happens if I don’t knit the stitches twisted? What if I just knit them?

Will it still work?

I have ignored the “knit twisted” instruction and just knit for the two bags I made and they turned out fine. I seem to remember previous discussions where others said they did the same thing. Good luck!
