Bobble help needed

Hello,

This is the first forum I have ever joined. I know how to knit. I even created a sweater all by myself (my very first project)! Now I am trying to be adventerous and try new patterns. I recently came across a pattern for a purse. I requires to make a bobble ( I hope everyone knows what it is).

Its instructions are such - [kfb] 3 times in next st (increased to 6 sts), turn work; p6, turn work; k6, turn work; p6, turn work; [k2tog] 3 times, turn work; p3tog, turn work.

I know what the abbreviations mean, but dont know how to do them. What does it mean when it says “knit into front & back of stich 3 times” which I’m guessing will increase the work by 6 stiches?

Can someone please help?

Thank you,

Ambreen

Knit the stitch as normal, but don’t slide it off the needle. Then knit into the back loop of the same stitch, and again leave it on the needle. Do this twice more before you slide it off. You’ll have 6 stitches where you had one.

You do the next steps on these 6 stitches to create your bobble.
