Bobbi vs. Baby?

Hi all!

I purchased the Bobbi Bear pattern last fall and made it for a friend’s son. I loved how quickly it worked up and how great it turned out. :slight_smile:

I want to make another bear, but I have a particular yarn in mind that I want to use- it comes in worsted and in bulky, but not super bulky.

Does it make more sense for me to buy the Baby Bobbi pattern? Or try to just adjust the original pattern for a smaller gauge? I’d say my skills are advanced beginner to intermediate, but not expert by any means. :slight_smile:

Has anyone seen the two patterns to tell the difference?

Haven’t seen the two patterns, but think since it’s a teddy bear and not knit to fit, then gauge doesn’t really matter…you could try using two strands of worsted and adjust the needle size to get the super bulky gauge suggested in the pattern.

I would think that all that’ll happen is you’ll get a smaller bear if you use a lighter weight yarn. I’m pretty sure the patterns are basically the same.
