I have trouble with blocking. It grows. I like it better before I blocked. Any suggestions?

Hi Bloomee!! What exactly are you blocking? Can you tell us what type of yarn, etc? I don’t know what you’re knitting with - but occasionally when I’ve blocked it’s happened and I can normally just work the piece back into place if that makes sense. Hope that helps !!
Blocking generally makes a knitted item grow. Because you are stretching the piece to lay flat, and show off the stitches. Depending on the type of yarn, giving it a gentle hand wash and laying it flat to dry can undo the blocking process.
