Blocking

I’m knitting a sweater and I guess it really needs blocking. Only thing is, I’ve never done this and I don’t know if it’s even possible with the yarn I used. I used Lana Grossa Newcotton Seta, wich is:

55 % Viscose
25 % Microfibre (Polyamid)
20 % Silk

The front is finished and looks like this:

So I guess I really need blocking before sewing up. Anyone suggestions on how I can do this best, since the yarn has silk in it and I don’t want to ruin it.

I have no idea on the blocking but oooooooo such a pretty color!

I’ve not used silk yarn, but it’s my understanding that natural fibers will block, I’m sure that someone more knowlegdeable will pop in with the answer. I just wanted to tell you it’s gorgeous :cheering:

There’s a knitty article on blocking, sorry I don’t have a link for it. Maybe someone else will.

thanks.

I’m not sure yet if I will be able to block it, since most of the fibers are human-made, but I guess I’ll just try (the last technique from the article)

That is beautiful!!!
