HI all…I whipped up a scarf using Simply Caron yarn (acrylic)…any way it’s a cable pattern (only one down the center) and the edges curled terribly…(although the piece is soft and nice) I “wet” it with water and pinned it down overnight…Well this a.m. I pulled some pins out and it’s still curling…Should I block again? I only “pinned” it down on a towel…Thanks
That type of blocking won’t work with acrylic and you may not have made enough edge sts in garter or seed st to keep it flat. You can pin it down and steam it - lay a damp cloth over it and hover the iron above it, not too long in one place or touch the iron to the cloth, or use a steam iron.
