Block Afghan ? Confused but looks like it shouldn't be

Note: Work with one strand each of CA and CB held together as one throughout.

Cast on 107 sts. Do not join but work back in forth in rows as follows: (What does this mean? Should I just continue through the pattern? It seems like something that really didn’t need to be written.)

Row 1 (Right Side): Knit.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10: K1, P7, * K7, P7; rep from * to last st; K1.

Row 3 AND EVERY RIGHT SIDE ROW: Knit.

Rows 12, 14, 16, 18, 20: K8, * P7, K7; rep from * to last st; K1.

Repeat Rows 1-20 for pat until approximately 54" from beginning, end Row 1 or 11.

On Wrong Side, bind off loosely in K. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

You’re supposed to work the afghan on circular needles to accommodate the stitches, but work back and forth as if on straights.

Is that the only question?

Ya that was the only ? but now I have a new one!! I have the circular knitting needles and have never used straight (I know what they are). How do I do what you told me to do? as in work like on straight needles?

You knit from one needle to the other; when you get to the end of the row, switch the points from one hand to the other and begin again. You just treat the needles as if they aren’t connected.
