I am starting a blanket, Easy no complacted stuff yet…the onlyquestion is I can make the blanket wide…How do you make it long? there’s not enough room on the needle for a full sized blanket…do you just create panels and sew them together?:shrug::help::??
Tara… you can get REALLLLLLLLY long circular needles.
You could make it full width and length on circulars…however many sts you desire…but if adult size it would get very heavy and cumbersome. Baby blankets are easy to make in their entirety on circs given they’re small. If you opt for straight ndls, yes, you’ll do panels and then sew them tog afterwards. It’s as tho you’re making several scarves and then joining them.

Tara, just cast on the number of stitches you want for the width and just work on it until it is long enough for you. the only way to make it starting by length is using circular needles (but not working in the round!)
