I
the Blackberry Ridge merino!!! So, so yummy. Minimally processed, so not a lot of chemicals. Very, very soft and yet it doesn’t pill much at all. It almost has the feel of a cotton/silk blend when you’re working with it, to the point that you forget it’s wool. Seriously delicious stuff.
I have some things I’ve made using BBR … have to see if I can find some pics of them and post 'em for you. My personal favorite colorway is the English Garden! (Love the Firecracker and Sierra Madre, too. Actually, I don’t think there’s one I don’t like.) I don’t know how the colors are showing up on your monitor, but on mine they’re a bit lighter and more washed out than they are IRL. Just FYI. (Like the Watermelon is actually a much deeper, darker blend of greens.)
One note of caution, though. The BBR is nearly impossible to felt. Even just to do a felted join. I have no idea why, as it’s 100% wool, and it’s not superwash (as I mentioned, minimally processed), but it is. I made my first felted project with BBR and was so ticked off when I washed it TEN plus times and nada.
