Birthday present

I’ve had a lovely day today. It’s my 66th birthday and I spent it with my hubby and my grandchildren. I got presents too - lots of them.
4 yards of fabric for my quilting,
8 balls of wool to knit.
So here’s the problem…
The balls are
3 black - Superwool from Sirdar DK yarn 50 gs each
3 red - Superwash Wool from Lady Fair 50 g each - knitting worsted
2 white - Super Wool from Lady Fair 50 g each - knitting worsted
The question is - what can I knit with this?
Got any ideas…?
Please…? Crossed Fingers
Pretty please…

Happy birthday!! Sounds like it was a wonderful one. This is a cute pattern for a little girl…maybe a granddaughter??

red, white and black just have to be colors for some sports team. Find it and make scarf or hats for the fans of those teams.

Nice warm house socks or slippers? A bag?

Love the little lady bug sweater but my granddaughters are in their teens… I do have some young grandsons tho…
Thanks for the posting everyone!
Anyone else? :waving:

I had time to look up a few patterns. They are all worsted I think. I don’t know your skill level or what you are really looking for though.

Wow! What a list! Thank you very much! I’m sure I’ll find something here…
:yay: :happydance:

Thanks from me, also, Jan. I’ve got the yarn, now I have the patterns.

BTW, Tema is a very advanced knitter.

Oops. In that case I can probably come up with more advanced patterns if you’re interested.

WOW! I would never call myself an advanced knitter. I used to knit many moons ago and made some nice stuff like Indian Sweaters and stuff like that.
But these days, I only knit plain things and have only just completed my first 2 sweaters in a long time. I’ve knit socks and continue to knit socks… nothing fancy at all. I’m expecting myself to get better at it all and then I will try some fancy stuff.
I have trouble reading most patterns, can’t read charts at all, tho I used to do that when I was younger. I’ve forgotten so much… been ill too long, forgot so much…
I love to knit anything plain, that doesn’t take much energy, and I like to alter patterns whenever I can without messing up the pattern I’m doing… mostly I use different coloured yarns.
The things you posted for me are just fine, Jan. My concentration isn’t what it used to be…
Hugs,
