Binding off seed stitch

Hello,

This is my first time posting. I am knitting squares for an afgan, and have just come to the end of the first square, which I knit in the seed stitch pattern. My question is, do I bind off in pattern (I assume I do, but I’m not sure), or do I knit all the stitches.

Thanks.

If you are seaming the edges together, as in a patchwork type idea, in my opinion binding off in plain knit would make seaming easier.

When you bind off alternating knits and purls as in seed stitch or ribs, the bound off stitch lies more along the edge rather than to the front as it does in a knit BO. A purl BO makes it lie toward the back. Try both and see what you like.
