Binding off in the round

First off, I’m a beginner.
I am finishing a cowl done in seed stitch. Directions call for binding off "in pattern. " I have knitted the cowl on circular needles. I have done a simple bind off in knit on straight needles, but I’m not sure how this will be different. I would appreciate some feedback. Thx

If your seed stitch was k1p1- knit the first 2 stitches and lift the first over the second. Purl the next and wit the yarn in front lift the previous stitch over that one…knit the next one, lift, etc. does that help?

My seed stitch is knit the purls & purl the knits. You are saying in bind off, just knit the first 2 stitches ,which are a knit and purl, and then knit the knits and purl the purls??

I’m sorry, I said that wrong. Which ever would come next on this row you do that. If it would be a knit then you’d purl the first and knit the next, etc.

I appreciate the clarification!!
