Binding off a ribbed cuff?

how so I bind off a ribbed cuff? I understand binding off …but do You do it different when you k2.p2?

[COLOR=palegreen]This post’s Swedish word/phrase: “Resår” = “Ribbing”

When I bind off ribbing I knit and purl the stitches as they come and bind off as I go.

Did that make sense? I knit the first, I knit the second, I pass the first stitch over, I purl, I lift the knitted stitch over, I purl again, and lift the first purled stitch over, and so on…

Good luck!

So I will knit the first st and knit the second and then pass the first knitted st over the second then purl and purl again then passthe first purl over the second ,repeat until done?

is that right?

Yes, you bind off `in pattern’ that way. The actual binding off is passing the first stitch over the other and is no differnt than doing it in knitting. Think of the k2, p2 part as if you were doing another row - then lifting the stitches over binds them off.
