There is a book that is called Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans by Leisure Arts. What kind/size needles do I need for each pattern? If it isn’t much trouble, could somebody tell me? Any help would be appreciated. The isbn number is 978-1574866438. Thanks!
Big Book of Quick Knit Afghans
Each pattern should say what size, it could be different for each afghan. If there’s no sizes given, then it’s whichever needle gets the gauge needed. Those are usually large needle projects though, worked with 2 or more strands of yarn, but the sizes could be 25, 35, or 50.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I don’t have the book and am looking into buying it. That’s why I want to know the size needles so I can get the book and needles together.
Books of patterns don’t generally use just one size. If you can look at it through a library or find it in a store, that will help.
I realize this thread is a couple months old, however if you haven’t discovered your answer yet… I am currently knitting out of that book and unless I overlooked a pattern or two, all of them actually do use the same size - 29" circular knitting needles, size 17 (12.75 mm) (or size needed for gauge, naturally). Some really pretty patterns in that book - I hope to make them all, eventually!
