I just finished the first pattern row of the afghan shown here.
http://frugalknit12330.goeserv.com/homepage/bbafghan.htm
Here’s the pattern:
Directions: Cast on 200 sts. K each row for 5 rows.
Start Pattern: Row 1: K 5, (border), K 10, P 10, repeating across row, ending K 10, K 5 (border)
Row 2: K 5, P 10, K 10 repeating across row, ending P 10, K 5.
Repeat rows 1 and 2, 10 more times (a total of 12 rows).
Row 13: (Reverse Pattern) K 5, P 10, K 10, repeating across row, ending P 10, K 5.
Row 14: Repeat Row 1 as above.
Repeat rows 13 and 14 for a total of 12 rows.
Now repeat these 2 pattern sequences of 24 rows until afghan is about 54" from beginning, ending on any pattern row, as long as the 12 rows have been completed.
K across for 5 rows. Bind off in K st.
Now, Row 1 and 2 have confused me…but I think I’m thinking about it too hard, know what I mean?
Am I supposed to do row 1 12 times in a row, and then row 2 12 times in a row? Or should I do 1, then 2, then 1 and 2 again and again, etc.
Thanks in advance!!
