Yet another reason to switch to Linux

How did I know Mason was going to give this answer?
Not that he’s wrong or anything…![]()
If you’re on Windows, just check to be sure your updates are up to date. There’s a new patch that is protective against the new version of Conficker. Be sure your anti-virus program is running. And, as always, don’t open emails from sources you don’t know. Even if the source has a familiar name, like PayPal or eBay, check the return address to be sure it matches and don’t follow links from the email. Have a nice April Fool’s Day. (On columnist says that the big April Fool’s joke may be that Conficker will do nothing. Ha ha.)
KING-TV noon news reported that you may not know you are infected with this worm but one way to tell is: try to navigate to McAfee.com or Symantec.com using your browser, and if you have the Conficker worm you won’t be able to get to those sites.
I was able to.
I run a full McAfee AV suite, and always download Microsoft Updates on patch Tuesdays…and do it immediately. No postponing it til tomorrow, or tomorrow, or tomorrow…:teehee:
Oy! :wall:
