Best way to block a patchwork blanket?

Hi,

I am currently working on the Debbie Bliss Garter stitch baby blanket

http://www.thewoolshack.com/debbie_bliss.htm?action=display&PatternID=1970&BackText=Baby%20Knits%20for%20Beginners

It is taken from her Baby Knits for Beginners book. It is made up of 54 knitted squares in 5 different colours sewn together. My question is should I block each individual sqaure before sewing them together, or wait and block the whole blanket when finished? Or even both?

I would prolly block the first block to the size you want and then create a guide (out of cardboard or something) to keep handy so you can block the others to the same size as the first…Then in the end you could just spray it and kinda do a fast block on it…:happydance:
