i just bought 2 big skeins of variegated yarn in baby print and i was wondering what the best pattern for a baby blanket would be? would a ripple or something be good for that? or just a basic garter stitch?

in my experience stockinette works better for varigated yarn than garter stitch. my you could add a nice border.
