Berroco Peruvia - HEAVENLY yarn! (a lot like Malabrigo!)

Guys, I gotta tell you…this new yarn by Berroco is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
 :inlove:  :inlove:  :inlove:

It’s called Berroco Peruvia.

I helped my cousin stock several skeins of it in her shop (Cottage Yarn), and I could not believe how beautiful it was. It looks and feels almost exactly like Malabrigo, and the colors are so rich and true.

   I’m in love.

That’s good to know. For whatever reason I always associate “Peruvian Highland Wool” with scratchy. I think I might have read about someone’s experience with Elann’s Peruvian Highland. I shouldn’t make those assumptions, but since I buy most of my yarn online I am always looking for yarn reviews.

I’m going to have to try that sometime. It is cheaper than Malabrigo, but the colors aren’t as deep and rich, and no variegated.

It’s beautiful!

Wow! :passedout:
That red is amazing! If it’s not too expensive it would be beautiful to do the scarf from the cover of Vogue knitting that everyone was doing in the knit along section!

I really love that yarn. I was pricing it on the day I help out at the store, and was shocked to see it was selling for $7.75 a skein!

I’m definitely going to buy some skeins when Easter comes around.
(I gave up buying yarn for Lent.)

The cost is almost the same for the worsted weight Berroco Peruvia(.043 cents per yd. in 174 yd. hanks) and Malabrigo (.048 cents per yd in 215 yd. hanks).

Now I have two choices for yummy merino. When I want a more solid treatment, I’ll go with Berroco Peruvia, when nothing but MMMM will do, then Malabrigo.
