Hello! I am new to this site, but have been knitting for maybe 2 years now. (I’m 13!
) I’m currently working on a scarf for my mother, for her birthday. (Just a basic scarf) The only problem is is that when I’m on my last row and want to finish it off, I never really learned how to do it. I had a book on how to knit, but, well, let’s just say that it’s MIA right now!
Let’s see if I can explain this for anyone to understand: My book said something about knitting one stitch, then another. Then, starting to end it, you pull the first stitch you did of that last row up over the needle, put it over your second stitch, then drop it. You keep doind that for the rest of that row. The only problem is that when I finish my scarf, the end is not a straight line; instead, it’s a curve.
Is there a diferent way to end a scarf that will make the end look straight, or is it something that I did? Thank you in advance for your help!
Loves,
Martina :knitting:
