Hey guys! I’ve decided that I’m going to relearn how to crochet. I used to kinda know how to crochet, but just kinda made up my own stitches(this was when I was like 12 or so lol). So, now I’m want to learn how to crochet correctly. Can anyone recommend a good beginner project? TIA!
Beginner Project
ok thanks. I didn’t know that there was a crochetpatterncentral. thank you!!
Try Nex Stitch, they have traditional and tunisian crochet stitch videos. They have a few free patterns.
Woolcrafting has instructions with step by set pictures. They also have free patterns and other helps.
Haas Design also has video of the basic crochet stitches.
Scarves and hats are also good beginner projects.
Place mats and napkin rings to go with a table runner can
Doily patterns can range from simple to advanced skills required.
Slippers and boot liners would be more intermediate to advanced.
Blankets and afghans tend to be larger projects but often repeat simple stitches or stitch patterns. Lap blankets can be a smaller starter project.
Shawls can be simple or intricate, much like the lacy doilies.
Then you have the fun stuff like Christmas orniments and animals.

I agree that dishclothes are a good beginner project because they are fairly simple and provide quick gratification:cheering:
