So far in knitting I have done the knit stitch and made tons of beautiful scarfs with different yarn types. Now I’m on to trying something different.
Question:
My pattern says Knit 3, Purl 1, across to end.
The next row says to repeat the previous row.
If I do this, the first knit stitch will be over the Purl 1, and my Purl will be over the knit stitch. Is this correct?
Is that the whole pattern?
If you reverse the knits and purls you’ll get a lengthwise ribbed effect with a distinct front and back.
I can’t quite picture how it would look if you do it the way they say, so I’d knit up a sample and see if you like it.
Thanks for the reply. OK, after checking with another knitter at work, I realized I did not read the pattern correctly. I should be working this pattern in the Round. :teehee:
I have it now.
Thanks for your patience with this beginner.
I’m determined to move forward and complete this project.
