Hi. I need help with understanding the following terminology in plain english. Can someone help me out. It would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing this sock project but i am stuck on the third paragraph under the heading Instructions on p.166.

The third paragraph reads:

(1.5-1.5) ins (2.5(4-4)cm)???

Can someone tell me what this means.

I am doing a medium size sock. How do i know that i am following a medium sock pattern here.

You left off a number, it should read:

1 (1.5-1.5) ins (2.5(4-4)cm

That’s the measurements for different sizes in both inches and centimeters. For the medium you should work this part for 1½ inches.

They always list the small dimensions first then medium and large in ( ), in case you need those instructions.
