Hello! First I want to thank this site for all the help… Im proud of myself i got all the stitches to the other stick! Im just wondering how to get the stitches back again… Is it the Backwards knitting thing I saw? Or do you just switch hands and go again? Thanks agian for all the help! those videos are amazing!
you just switch hands and go again ^w^
Thanks GweNdZ!
I also just figured out how to do it backwards as well or with my left hand. Ill just have to figure out which one I like more or what kinda cool patterns come out. Thanks again!
Now, depending on if you are doing stocking or stockinette stitch, on the other side, you will do a purl stitch. The RS typically will be the side with all the knit stitches, and the other side or WS will be your purl stitches. The knit side looks like V’s and the purl side looks like little bumps.
Or. . .you could just keep doing knit sts on both sides, and their will be ridges. This is called a garter stitch. Often times, this is done on edges, or all the stitches because it doesn’t roll up as much.
Happy knitting new knitter!
Don’t forget we have lots of videos here to help you out.
