Beanie Pattern question

The German short rows section is very vague about how many and when to do them? Looking for someone who can clarify please.
Thank you
Julie

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
Is there any other place in the pattern where the German Short rows are described?

Is it possible that the point is simply to turn the project and work in the opposite direction? In that case there would simply be one turn and one short technique needed to aviod a hole.

A picture of what it’s supposed to look like would help. We could find that if we knew the name of the pattern and designer…this info doesn’t show on the pages you’ve posted.

Does it have a turned-up brim? If so, there’s only the one GSR turn (not really a short row, just a turn), where you turn to work the other direction. You need a technique to close up the hole that will be where you turned. You could just as easily use wrap-and-turn, or any other technique you like

Thank you, that’s a big help. The turn is so that the brim shows the beanie pattern when turned up and so does the body of the beanie. So only one turn with a double stitch if you are working German Short rows. You can use any other short row technique to close up the hole if you prefer.

Thank you so much!

I deleted the pattern (and the post).

So appreciate your help today.
