Bamboo stitch count

I’m knitting a bamboo stitch sweater. When counting bamboo stitch for guage, do you count the horizontal stitch that is wrapped as well as the “v”s? So the stitch bundles of two that are wrapped are counted as bundles of two or three stitches? Thank you

It depends on how the bamboo stitch is worked. If the horizontal stitch is a yarn over like this video then no don’t count it. Count 2sts per bundle.

The number of sts in the sweater body and the dimensions across the chest may help with this too.

Thank you. That is what I first assumed, but if it was the other way around (three stitches per bundle it would have made way more sense for my gauge count. That’s why the confusion. Thanks for the help!
